How to calculate how long you have had lice
Before calculating how long you have had lice, I think it's important to tell you this. Are these head lice? And how are lice produced? I will also describe a unique easiest way to get rid of head lice? All such details are explained below.
What are head lice?
Head lice
are tiny insects without wings. They live among human hair and feed on blood
from the scalp. Head lice are a common problem, especially for children. They
spread easily from person to person and are sometimes difficult to get rid of.
Their bites can cause itchiness and itching on the baby's scalp, and the
itching can lead to infection. These lice can affect men and women of all ages.
Head lice are annoying, but they are not dangerous and they do not spread
disease. These are not signs of poor hygiene. Head lice need blood and they
don't care if it comes from a clean or dirty source.
How are lice produced?
Head lice
and body lice are groups of Helipterum bug species that are parasitic on
warm-blooded animals, including humans. Their body color matches their
surroundings and thus they camouflage themselves. The slender body, sticky
claws they possess with piercing and sucking mouthparts aid in their parasitic
activity.
These
insects develop through incomplete metamorphosis. Females lay eggs alone which
hatch in about a week. Like adults, nymphs also feed on blood. Nymphs pass
through 5 to 6 instars depending on the species they belong to. After that,
they turn into adults and start reproducing.
Infection
occurs through body contact, sharing clothes, combs and similar objects. Clean
living is the best way to avoid infection. If already infected, an appropriate
medical intervention is advised for complete sterilization.
Lice are not
picky about the age of the person they attack. Head lice spread freely among
family members. Pubic lice are mainly found in adults for obvious reasons. Body
(clothing) lice are not common in rich countries, but they affect people of all
ages and can transmit typhus to anyone. Usually lice do not cause any serious
disease.
How to calculate how long you have had lice
Now that we
know all the fun details about the life of lice, let's get down to how long
you've had lice. Breeding of lice is usually observed 30 days after the nymphs
mature and begin to mate with them. Female lice are larger than male lice,
which mean they can be easier to spot in one's hair. When you examine the scalp
of a person with head lice, you will be able to see lice in their different
life stages: nits, casings (shells after hatching), nymphs, juveniles, and
adults. Understanding the life cycle of lice, if there are more nits on the
head than adults, we can assume that you have had lice for more than 30 days.
This means that there has been more than one lice life cycle on the head
because the adult lice were able to lay their nits and hatch.
For a more
technical calculation of how long you've had lice, we can measure how far the
eggs (nits) are from the scalp. Female lice lay their eggs as close to the
scalp as possible, and hair grows about 1 cm per month. For example, if you see
nits in your hair and they are measured at a distance of 2 cm from the scalp,
we can calculate that you have had lice for two months.
What is the fastest and easiest way to get rid of head lice?
I tried shampoo, mayonnaise and various other
products that were recommended to me. They were expensive, messy, ineffective
and painful. So I tried many methods to rid my hair of lice. But in vain. I
felt like I would never be able to get rid of these horrible pests. Then I
discovered something that worked every time.
It works
100% all the time. And it only costs a few dollars. You can get it at the store
for a few dollars. However, this is a technique that you need to practice. So
that you don't make yourself and your children suffer more than they are
already suffering.
The first
thing you want to do is prepare your day to work on it. You need to strip your
bedding and wash it. It needs to be dried on high heat. Vacuum mattresses,
pillows and furniture where you are likely to come into contact with hair.
Including your car seats. To make sure no nits (eggs) are left behind. Before
remaking the beds, inspect the beds thoroughly to make sure there are no bugs.
I recommend putting alcohol in spray bottles and treating the areas you will be
testing before the test. So as not to damage the fabric. Also remove and treat
stuffed animals.
Now find a
well ventilated place. If necessary, do it outside. Comb your hair back. So you
can apply the alcohol directly to the hair. Making sure it gets all saturated.
If they lean forward. So alcohol fumes will affect your breathing. The fumes
dissipate quickly though. But still leaning forward is not wise.
Once the
hair is completely saturated. So wrap it in a towel that you have soaked in
warm water. And it's over. I left it on the towel until it was warm, or about
30 minutes. Remove the towel and rinse the hair thoroughly in warm water. At
this point, you may notice dead bugs and nits falling out of your hair. What happens?
All bugs die from suffocation - I rarely see live bugs after treatment. Also,
alcohol dissolves the glue that is used to stick the nits to the ends of the
hair. Eggs are usually very difficult to remove because of their teardrop-like
shape. Which has a little hook at the end? Insects stick to one side of the
hair. And each nut should be removed to ensure re-infection does not occur.
This is usually the most painful task. This is called "picking the
net". This term is often used to describe someone who pays close attention
to every single detail, good or bad. Often bad.
Once the
hair is washed, it's time to pick the nuts. You should use a lice comb, as the
teeth are very close together, and are designed to catch nits and remove them
from the hair strand. If you don't have one, you can still use a regular comb
and pull out the nits manually. The good thing about alcohol is that it removes
all the dirt from your hair, making it super soft and easy to comb! I had a
paper towel handy, took each nut and "popped" it onto the towel,
making sure it didn't pop. Section hair, using rubber bands and hair clips to
keep the cleaned sections away from the sections you still need to clean. It's
easy to work from the bottom up. Pay close attention to the nape of your neck,
and around/behind your ears. Make sure you get all the bugs and nits, no matter
how long it takes. If you follow all of these instructions, you should be bug
free by the end of the day!
Make sure
you do everyone's hair at home! Discourage sharing hats, hair ties, hair
brushes, combs, or any other items that touch your hair. Remind your kids not
to share with friends. If you notice a lack of pus coming out, it is possible
that there is another infection. Since it's cheap, and ready-to-use, plus it
leaves your hair incredibly soft and shiny, it wouldn't hurt to re-treat
everyone's hair in 7 days.
How do you know when lice are gone?
Shampoo
creams and other products don't make any difference to me. However, if you are
benefiting from this, you should first make sure you use a shampoo cream or
other product that specifically targets lice and lice. Is designed to kill the
eggs of But you should know immediately because there will be no more itching.
Make sure you follow the instructions and use a comb to loosen the lice from
your hair.
Also, look at your hair wherever you see it. Finally, you will need to use the de-loosing shampoo again after about 2 weeks. Shampoos and treatments kill lice eggs, but, just to be sure, use it again.
